q: Are lessons available ready to use in my classroom?

a: Yes. Click “Lessons” on the main menu bar.

This site offers multimedia lessons in ten content areas: Dine Language, Arts,
Language arts, Health & Physical, Technology, Languages, Career &
Workplace, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science. Lessons vary in length and
grade level. They can be used for individual learning and group activities.

q: Where can I find these lessons?

a: Click on the “Lessons” section at the top of the page. You will see a list of search criteria on the left side of the page.
Type in a word or words in the "Key Word" text field and click on the "Go" button.

q: How can I search for particular lessons of interest?

a: You can search by "Key Word," "Dine Proficiency," "Subject Area," and "Level" in addition to other search criteria.

a: Yes, click on “Resources” at the top of this page and click "Cultural Integration Tools" in the list of items on the left side of the page.

a: Many of them are. Click on “Resources,” and then on “Teacher-created
Lessons,” on the left side of the page. ETIP teams created these during summer training. You may find them
useful for your classroom, or as spring board for other ideas.

q: Where can I find local pictures and other stock items to use
in projects?
- a: Click on “Media Gallery,” at the top of the page. You can search for digital photographs, audio, and video. Contact the Navajo Education Technology Consortium to
obtain permission to use these media files.

a: Click on “Resources” on the top of the page and then click on any of the items listed under “Tutorials” on the left side of the page. The tutorials can help
you further your computer knowledge and skills.
Web Browser “Plug-Ins”

q: What is a “Plug-in”?
-
a: Plug-ins are software modules that enhance the multimedia capabilities of
your web browser.Lessons on this site may require plug-ins for Flash, Authorware,
or others. If needed, these can be downloaded at no charge using the links
provided on our site. The Flash plug-in is already included in most recent
versions of most browsers. Browsers can also be downloaded for free; so keeping
your browser current is a good idea.

q: How do I know if I need a plug-in?

a: When the browser lands on a Web page that requires a plug-in you don't have,
it prompts you to get it. It may even provide a link to the plug-in download
site. There is additional information on plug-ins in the in the "Resources" and listed under "Using the Internet" on the "Tutorials " page.

q: How do I install a plug-in?
-
a: From the plug-in download site, click on the desired file. You will be asked
if you wish to “open” the file or “save” it to your hard drive. Choose “save,”
and save it where you can find it again – either a “temp” folder or right on
your “desktop.” To install, first quit your browser. Then double-click on the
file you just downloaded and follow the prompts.
